These Terms of Service govern your use of Balance ("the service", "the application"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

Balance is a personal finance management application that allows you to manually track your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and net worth. The service is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

Balance does not connect to your bank accounts, does not provide financial advice, and does not execute any financial transactions on your behalf. All data in the application is entered manually by you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Balance. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide a valid email address when registering
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately at contact@app-balance.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• One account is intended for use by one person

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the application
• Use the service to store or transmit any malicious code
• Resell or sublicense access to the service

5. Your data

You own all the financial data you enter into Balance. We do not claim any rights over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Personal data → Danger zone.

6. Subscription and payments

Balance is currently available free of charge during its beta period. Paid subscription tiers will be introduced in the future. When paid plans are introduced:

• You will be notified in advance of any pricing changes
• Subscriptions will be billed on a monthly or annual basis
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis — contact us at contact@app-balance.com

7. Availability and service changes

We aim to keep Balance available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
• Terminate accounts that violate these terms

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Balance is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or that the data you enter will be preserved indefinitely. Balance does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Any financial decisions you make based on data in the application are your own responsibility.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Balance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or financial loss.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
